
November 16-22, 2025 is Hunger and Homelessness Awareness week. During this week, many people across the country come together to spread awareness to the issues that the homeless population faces with hunger.
In 2023, Cumberland County had 9,197 households living under the poverty line, 49% were below the SNAP threshold, and 29,310 households faced food insecurity (sources: United Way | ALICE County Reports, Feeding America).
