Action Teams

We believe in the power of collaboration as a tool to combat the housing crisis in Cumberland County. That’s why we’ve formed Action Teams. Each team has a specific area of focus and the team’s work ends when the objective has been accomplished.

Advocacy Team – currently accepting new team members

Meeting Time: 2nd Thursday of the month at 10:00 am

The Advocacy Team is for creative thinkers who want to explore new and exiting ways to advocate for affordable housing.

Outcomes we aim to achieve include:

  • Raise public awareness of the causes, severity, inequities, and socioeconomic impact of the affordable housing crisis in Cumberland County.
  • Promote #HousingforAll campaign.
  • Advance fair housing rights and reduce all forms of discrimination.

Eviction Prevention Team

Meeting Time: 3rd Wednesday of the month at 10:00 am

Purpose: Local stakeholders will review eviction prevention needs across Cumberland County and develop resources and/or strategies to support county-wide eviction efforts.

Outcomes we aim to achieve include:

  • Decrease the number of eviction filings.
  • Increase housing stability.
  • Promote collaboration between service providers with existing eviction prevention programs.

Lived Experience Team – currently accepting new team members

Meeting Time: 1st Thursday of the month at 10:00am

The Lived Experience Team seeks to give a voice to those who have experienced homelessness and housing insecurity. The team’s goal is to provide a space where those with lived experience are meaningfully engaged and can provide input within our housing system.

Outcomes we aim to achieve include:
