January PIT Count

This January our Point-In-Time Count (PIT) will be held on Wednesday, January 21st. PIT count is a HUD mandated, national one-night survey of folks experiencing homelessness. The data we collect on this night will directly impact and direct the HUD funding for every homeless services agency in the county, so it’s incredibly important.

It’s also a chance for us to come together to help our neighbors experiencing homelessness, offering food and supplies, and for one night, at least, giving their lives the visibility and acknowledgement they deserve.

This year, we have several ways for you to get involved, ranging from a supply and meal pop up to our traditional survey teams. We are hoping that adding this Gear and Grub Pop-Up will help us reach folks who are in more out of the way places like tents and hunting shelters on the game lands, etc – folks not easily counted overnight by our traditional search teams.
